What A Supermarket Equipment Quotation Needs From You

A store is not a specification. It is a plan, a date, a colour and a port, and most enquiries take three or four rounds of e-mail because those pieces arrive one at a time. Here is the whole list at once — six things from your side, five things back from ours.

From your side Six items
  • Store floor plan outline with a diagonal measuring line and a square metre corner mark 01

Store Floor Area In Square Metres

    in m² or ft²

The first estimate of how many shelving bays a floor can carry and how many checkout lanes it needs. A rounded number off the lease is enough to start with.

  • Unrolled store layout drawing showing shelving runs and a checkout line 02

Store Plan, CAD Drawing Or Hand Sketch

PDF, DWG, JPG or a phone photo

Where each zone sits and how a shopper moves between them. A drawing made on paper and photographed on a phone is read the same way a CAD file is.

  • Desk calendar page with the store opening day circled 03

    Target Store Opening Date

the date you gave your landlord

Production slots, the shipping window and whether the order leaves in one batch or several are all counted backwards from this one date.

  • Shelving bay, checkout counter and shopping trolley silhouettes each with a tick box 04

    Which Supermarket Categories You Need

tick the categories, or write lanes and bays

This decides how many lines the quotation runs to. A checkout counter for supermarket use, a vegetable rack for supermarket produce and a supermarket wine shelf are three separate production lines here, and you can browse all twelve supermarket equipment categories before you tick.

  • Fan deck of paint colour swatch cards with one wood grain finish card 05

    Colour Or Finish Reference

a RAL number, or a photo of a finish you like

The powder coat colour and the wood tone carried across every category on the order. One reference is enough and the rest of the store is matched to it.

  • Shipping container on a quay under a gantry crane 06

    Destination Port And Country

    port name and country

Packing method, how categories of very different shapes share a container, and which trade terms the quotation is written on.

What Comes Back From The Factory

Five items
  • Whole-store equipment list XLS

Every category itemised, written in the order the store is actually built.

  • Itemised quotation PDF

Priced line by line against that list, so a category can be added or dropped without redoing the whole thing.

  • 3D rendering of your store JPG

Drawn by our own 3D designers, so the colour, the wood tone and the layout can be judged together.

  • Container loading plan PDF

How categories that nest, stack and ship knocked down are packed together for your destination port.

  • Delivery schedule counted back from your opening date

Not a file but a set of dates: which categories leave when, worked backwards from the day the doors open.

Fitting out a store is a longer run than a quotation, and the steps from first drawing to opening day are set out on our About page. If the six items above are already in front of you, send the brief instead.

Factory Visit

Visit The Factory In Changshu, China

Buyers placing a whole-store order usually want to stand in front of the fixtures before they sign. Overseas customers are welcome to come and inspect the plant, and the showroom is on the same site as the workshops.

What You Can See On A Factory Visit

Steel fabrication, woodworking and stainless steel production all run on the same 40,000+ m² site, which is the reason one colour and one wood tone can be held across an order that would otherwise arrive from three different suppliers.

Next to the workshops the showroom is set out as a shop floor — checkout lanes, produce islands and shelving runs standing in the finishes they ship in, so a buyer can walk the aisle instead of reading a specification.

The plant itself is described in full on the factory in Changshu page, and equipment lists by store size sit on a separate planning page.

Six things decide the price of a store. Send what you already have and the first thing back is the equipment list, not another set of questions.

Store Brief

Send Your Store Brief To The Factory

One form covering the six items above. Nothing here is a trick question — leave blank whatever you have not decided yet, and the reply will ask for that item alone.

Your details

Everything on this form goes to keshun@kssyt.com.

Before You Send

Supermarket Equipment Ordering Questions

Five things buyers ask in the minute before they press send. If yours is not here, put it in the message box and it gets answered with the quotation.

Can you quote from a hand sketch instead of a CAD drawing?

Yes. A photograph of a drawing on paper plus the floor area is enough to start, even if the sketch only covers one wall of bread display rack. Our design team works it up into spatial planning and prop design and sends that back for you to confirm before anything is priced.

Do you make a 3D rendering of the store before I order?

Yes. We have our own 3D designers and a rendering of your store comes with the quotation, so the colour, the wood tone and the layout can be judged together rather than one at a time. What arrives is a rendering to review, not a live design session.

What happens after I send the form?

The enquiry goes to keshun@kssyt.com and is read by a sales engineer. When the six items are complete the next thing you receive is the equipment list and the itemised quotation. When something is missing the reply asks for that one item only, instead of opening another round of questions.

How do I send my store plan or drawing?

E-mail it straight to keshun@kssyt.com, or paste a cloud storage link into the message box on this form. PDF, DWG, JPG and photographs of paper drawings are all read here. If the drawing only covers part of the store, a custom wine rack wall for instance, send that on its own rather than waiting until the whole set is finished.

Can I visit the factory and see finished fixtures before ordering?

Yes. Overseas customers are welcome to come and inspect the plant, and a showroom of finished fixtures stands on the same site: checkout lanes, produce islands and a wooden vegetable rack for store use, in the finishes they actually ship in.
