The defining feature of a luggage cart is not the deck, it is the brake. The handle is sprung so the brake engages the moment a hand comes off it, which is what stops a loaded cart rolling away on a slope, in a lift, or on a travelator. Everything else on this build is arranged around that mechanism.
Above the handle sits a fixed sign panel, which in most of the places these carts are used is carrying advertising rather than wayfinding — and in many of them the advertising revenue pays for the fleet. The deck is low so heavy cases are lifted the shortest possible distance.

Engages on release
The brake acts at the castor. On a slope or a travelator this is the only thing between a loaded cart and the people below it, which is why it is specified against your actual gradients.
Advertising or wayfinding
The panel above the handle is at eye level for the person pushing and for everyone approaching. In most terminals it is sold as advertising space, and that revenue often pays for the fleet.
Short lift for cases
The deck sits low so a heavy case is lifted the shortest possible distance. On a fleet used by the public rather than by staff, that is a safety specification as much as a convenience one.

Shelving bays, produce islands and bulk cabinets travel as panels — uprights, shelves, back panels and plinths, strapped flat with bubble wrap on every component. They are built up on the shop floor, so the packing list and the assembly drawings travel with the goods.
Trolleys slide into one another and baskets stack. Past the first unit, each extra one adds only its nesting pitch instead of its full length, so the shipped volume ends up a fraction of what the unit count suggests.
This model
A checkout lane is welded, coated and fitted out as one piece, so it is crated whole with padding on the steel. Nothing waits to be assembled at the store beyond levelling it into the lane, and the crate is the counter plus a margin.
Trolleys are the one category where the unit count and the shipped volume are almost unrelated. They nest, so past the first unit each extra one adds only its nesting pitch instead of its full length — which is why a container of trolleys holds several times what the same container of assembled counters would. We do not publish litre capacities for this range. The figures circulating for it came from an old third-party listing rather than from our own production records, and they are being confirmed with the factory before they go on the site.
A trolley bay is part of the front of store, and what it stands next to decides how well it works.
The lane length has to leave room for a loaded trolley to turn out of it, which is a dimension worth checking before either is ordered.

Send details of any ramps, travelators or slopes the carts will be used on. The brake and castor specification is set against those rather than against a flat floor.

The brake and castors are specified against the gradients you actually have, which is why we ask about travelators and ramps specifically. Do not order this cart against a generic specification if it will be used on one.
