CHINASHOP is the largest retail event in China, and 2019 was the twenty-first edition of it. We spent a long time preparing for that show and it repaid the effort: three days of talking to buyers face to face is worth more than a year of email, mostly because of what you learn rather than what you sell.
Key takeaways
- CHINASHOP 2019 ran 7 to 9 November at Qingdao World Expo City, hosted by CCFA and Beijing Zhihe Lianchuang.
- 130,000 square metres of exhibition floor and close to 900 exhibitors.
- Our distribution reaches more than 46 countries and territories, including the United States, Japan, Russia and Malaysia.
What The Show Is
On 7 November the three-day 21st China Retail Expo opened at Qingdao World Expo City. It was hosted by the China Chain Store & Franchise Association and by Beijing Zhihe Lianchuang Exhibition Co., Ltd., with a total exhibition area of 130,000 square metres and close to 900 exhibitors.
The invitation list is what makes it worth attending. The show brings together China's top 100 retail chain companies, domestic and international equipment and facilities makers, leading IT companies, well-known fast-moving consumer goods brands from home and abroad, own-brand producers and processors, and overseas and local speciality products. Twenty years of the event have given it a genuine breadth, and the ideas that come out of it now apply well beyond traditional shops — to restaurants, speciality stores, hotels, offline retail and even unmanned stores.
What We Took, And Who We Met
We had expected and prepared for the show for a long time, and at it we finally got to talk to a great many customers face to face. We met a lot of target customers, and many of them showed real interest in the company and in what we build. Both sides came away looking forward to going further.
The products on the stand were the same ones we make every week: supermarket checkout counters in various specifications, fruit and vegetable racks, and stainless steel fresh tables among them. Nothing was built specially for the show, which is deliberate — a stand full of one-off pieces tells a buyer nothing about what will arrive in their container.

Who We Are, For Anyone Who Missed The Stand
Keshun takes "survive by quality, develop by credit" as its guiding principle. Built on manufacturing capability, product quality and after-sales service, our distribution network runs across the country and our business covers more than 46 countries and territories, including the United States, Japan, Russia and Malaysia.
The main products are checkout counters in a range of specifications, fruit and vegetable racks, and stainless steel fresh tables. We are a professional manufacturer and exporter of business equipment, and the company continues to work to the cultural principle of managing scientifically, pursuing excellence, manufacturing accurately and keeping on improving — with the aim of building a business that grows steadily and in good health rather than quickly and briefly.
A note on the earlier announcement
Our original pre-show post carried a stand number that belonged to another exhibitor entirely, copied in error from someone else's material. It has been removed rather than corrected, because we have no record of the correct number. Everything else in this piece — the dates, the venue, the organisers and the show statistics — is as originally recorded.
If you saw us at Qingdao and never followed up, the invitation is still open. We are happy to show the plant to anyone who wants to see where the equipment is actually made.
