One facing each
Each compartment holds a single facing with nothing hidden behind it. That makes stock counting a visual job rather than a physical one, which on a high-value, high-theft category matters more than it does anywhere else in the store.
Powder coated
The grid sits in a welded steel frame. Behind a counter the fixture takes constant handling from one side only, and the frame is what keeps the grid true under that.
Board over steel
A timber base under the grid puts the fixture in the same visual family as the counter in front of it. Behind-counter fixtures that do not match the counter are the ones that look bolted on.
Where shutters fix
The top panel is where a shutter or cover system fixes if your market requires one. It is built to take it whether or not you order it, because tobacco rules change and a fixture that cannot be covered later has a short life.

A checkout lane is welded, coated and fitted out as one piece, so it is crated whole with padding on the steel. Nothing waits to be assembled at the store beyond levelling it into the lane, and the crate is the counter plus a margin.
